Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction (ILO) is an inappropriate, transient, reversible narrowing of the larynx in response to external
triggers. The aim of this qualitative study was to develop an in-depth understanding of the experiences of individuals living with
ILO and the impact this has on their lives. We describe the impact the disease has on patients, and this should promote clinician
awareness of the experience of ILO from the patient's perspective and support a personalised approach to care
