Sound Bath Session

08:15 - 08:45

Immerse yourself in the soothing vibrations with Nicola (of Soulsounds with Nicola), as you relax and meditate in a peaceful setting. Created with Gongs, Crystal Bowls and more instructions - let the harmonious sounds wash over you, promoting relaxation for mind, body and spirit.

Sound baths are known for their healing and therapeutic benefits in holistic health. An ancient tradition made popular by western holistic practitioners.

What do you need? You will get as comfortable as possible, either lay or sat, for this session which will last for 30 minutes. Blankets may be provided. Feel free to also put on any additional jumpers/jackets you have with you, so you are warm and cosy for the experience.

*Disclaimer - Sound baths are not suitable for people experiencing the following - epilepsy, recent hip/joint operations, pacemaker, serve osteoporosis, severe mental health illness, advanced stages of cancer, pregnancies (within the first three months), Menieres diseases or tinnitus).

Tai chi movements for wellbeing

08:15 - 08:45

Experience a taster session of Tai Chi movements for wellbeing (TMW) with Elaine Bevan-Smith, respiratory ANP.  This is a unique sequence of slow, flowing, gentle movements informed by the principles of Tai Chi but without the complexity. Elaine has applied TMW for people with COPD in a number of settings, including as an adjunct to pulmonary rehabilitation. TMW is designed to promote health and wellbeing based on the core understanding that there is a relationship between the body and mind.

Feel a new sense of relaxation, flow and energy, enabling you to feel calmer, more balanced and centred. Explore how the movement touches you emotionally and releases tension held in the body. The movements can be undertaken either seated or standing. You will need to wear comfortable clothing and most importantly soft flat shoes, trainers or pumps.
