World IPF Week is 28th September – 5th October 2014. During this week patients, families, health care professionals and charities supporting people with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis are calling for greater awareness of the condition and better quality care for all those living with the ffects of the disease.

Both Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) and the British Lung Foundation (BLF) are promoting campaigns this week to raise the profile of the condition with publicity, fundraising and stories from those affected by IPF being share across the press and social media.

ARNS is delighted to support IPF Week. The respiratory nurses at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, including ARNS Executive Committee member, Sandra Olive, held a ‘Name the Bear’ competition, and on Wednesday, 1st October, did a team Ice Bucket Challenge, raising well over £200 for Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.  Well done to Sandra and her team.
