We are delighted to announce  that ARNS will be holding an annual  competition for clinical nurse specialists.

These awards will recognise excellence in working with patients with respiratory conditions, helping to improve their lives and symptoms. Applications are invited from those who are either working as individuals or an individual within a respiratory team delivering compassionate patient care for long-term respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD. Each year awards will be made in 3 categories:

  • Respiratory Rising Star

This category is to recognise a respiratory nurse who is providing compassion care, over and beyond that usually undertaken in a respiratory nursing career

  • Respiratory Team of the Year

This Award recognises a respiratory team who deliver respiratory care over and beyond expectation, and that has really supported and evidenced the difference made to the patient experience in respiratory care.

  • Outstanding Contribution to Respiratory Nursing

The recipient of this prestigious award is selected by the ARNS Executive Committee and will be announced at the Annual Conference Awards Dinner.

Applications should demonstrate

  • Innovative practice to improve the lives of patients with respiratory conditions
  • Promotion of patients self-management and care planning
  • How they have facilitated and demonstrated improvements in care
