ARNS Members invited to apply for new Committee roles

ARNS Members invited to apply for new Committee roles

The ARNS Executive is excited to announce that as part of transforming into a not for profit organisation, we are developing a new structure made up of Sub-Committees. This will increase member engagement with approximately twenty committee roles, whilst facilitating a smaller executive committee.

The following vacancies are available for sub-committee members:

Respiratory Disease Committee:

  • COPD Lead
  • Bronchiectasis Lead
  • TB/ Infection Lead

Therapy Committee:

  • Pulmonary Rehab Lead
  • NIV/Sleep Lead
  • Pleural Disease Management Lead

Specialist Commissioning:

  • Paediatric Lead
  • Cystic Fibrosis Lead
  • Commissioning Lead

Education and Career Development:

  • Scottish Lead
  • Welsh Lead
  • Northern Ireland Lead

The new committee members will be expected to attend one strategy day per year (which will be held on Friday 3rd November this year) for which there will be an honorarium & travel costs paid. In addition it is expected that there will be approximately two teleconference meetings per year and a meeting at conference to attend. Committee members will receive a funded place at conference in recognition of this.

As lead there will be occasional requirement to represent ARNS at meetings such as round tables or consultations. ARNS will fund travel for these if not covered by the organisers.

You do not need to have a role directly within the role you apply for but a specialist interest or increased awareness.
