ARNS Annual Conference 2020 is going virtual!
We are now delighted to announce that ARNS will be offering a virtual conference, taking place on Friday 14th August 2020.
By offering a virtual conference, ARNS can continue supporting our community to share the latest information, connect and access education during these challenging times.
Alongside the comprehensive programme, a platform for knowledge exchange, the 2020 conference is designed to enable attendees to interact and actively participate.

Late Breaking Abstracts
ARNS are delighted to re-open abstract submission for any late breaking abstracts. Closing date – Midnight, Monday 13th July
For this years conference we are calling for abstracts for thematic poster and spoken presentations. Awards will be given for the best in both categories. These may include reports of clinical audit, research, innovation in practice, or evaluation of clinical processes and systems. Previously published or presented work is also welcome. Further to this we will also welcome case studies and clinical reflections.
The abstracts will be judged on specific criteria (below) by an independent panel. Authors of the three highest scoring abstracts will be invited to deliver a pre-recorded presentation and facilitate live Q&A, and will have an opportunity to publish in the Nursing Times. All authors of accepted abstracts will be required to submit and ePoster into the virtual poster room where questions can be put to authors via our on line chat option; therefore at least one of the authors must be registered at the conference.
Abstract Title: The title can be a maximum of 50 words.
The ‘Full title’ should be presented sentence case (not in title case or block capitals), i.e. only the first letter of the title or appropriate terms such as abbreviations or proper nouns should be upper case.
Please do not include author details or information that identifies your unit or hospital in the abstract title.

You are allowed a maximum number of 350 words in the abstract body. Please use the following titles within your abstract submission.
For Reflections of respiratory nursing practice and case studies categories.

Implications for your practice and the wider respiratory nursing community:
For Clinical audit and research categories.

It is best to type your abstract straight into the online submission form, or alternatively paste the text from a word-processed document. Please use the special character keyboard for special characters. You can use the buttons to add formatting.
Please do not include author details or information that identifies your unit or hospital in the body of the abstract.
Submitting your Abstract:
If all required abstract submission fields have been completed you will have the option to submit your abstract at the bottom of the page. If there are any remaining fields or sections to complete you will only have the option to save your submission as a draft until they are completed.
Once you click the ‘submit’ button, the online submission page will change to a submission confirmation page and you will immediately receive a confirmation email and log in details. If you do not receive this, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Abstract will be judged on specific criteria by an independent panel and the submitting author of each abstract will be contacted towards the end of March 2020 via the email address given on the submission.
